I tried modeling once, fashion modelin', that is (not the necked stuff like at the studio), in my puppier days. Couldn't deal with all the fussin'....

That's the internationally acclaimed couturier and dogsiner, Ms Sarah of Bon•Dog, fittin' me in the pitchure (she's also Laura Monster Kokopuff's mommy-guardian, Sophie Beagle's best gal pal, so, who knows, maybe she just leans towards us.... I think Sophie Beagle's pushin' it.

WORK IN PROGRESS

I have to run home to my chores,
like taking the girls for their walk.

Then a snack, a drink ...

...and a snooze....

My full name is Rodin Schnauzer Canine Coane. A Gemini, I was born on 12 June 2004 in La Belle, Missouri, of excellent German-Dutch Schnauzer stock. My birth-father was Code Woody Hutcherson and my dam, Danny Girl II.

I moved to New York City to follow my artistic inclinations and soon thereafter, in November, I was apprenticed to that famous Painter / Draftsman / Master Teacher Robert [we call him "Daddy Bob"] Coane who immediately set me to work at L'Atelier as Chef d'Atelier, all-around studio assistant. He feels I'm best suited for sculpture cuz it's really hard for me to hold a pencil or a brush and I do have a certain leaning towards 3-dimensional form.

I took on my mentor's surname, Coane, which I understand was gleaned from an Irish Whiskey bottle in the window of a liquor store at the turn of the 20th c. by his grandfather, an immigrant Russian Jew. I adopted the name 'Rodin' given the talent for sculpture I demonstrated at such an early age and because I definitely have the handsome, dashing good looks of that great French sculptor. I have just completed my first public commission, to design a new Caramel Award logo, the award is for bad Art and nasty Art stuff.

I lived in Manhattan with my adoptive guardians, 'Daddy Bob' and 'Mommy Cindy' Coane and my stepsister, Sophie Beagle Coane, also my top model, and my little sister, Baby Frida Schnauzer, my REAL half sister. But things were nasty at CO-OP HELL. Now we have a country cottage up in Northcountry and spend most of our time there. It's called The DOGHOUSE and we even have our own dog run, BOOBIE PARK.

We make a great family!!!

"
Sir, he's a good dog and a fair dog. Can there be more said? he is good, and fair."
